Let`s come to the topic“WHAT TO DO IF YOUR RESIDENCE CARD IS LOST OR STOLEN”

If your Residence Card is lost or stolen the first thing you will need to do is to report to the police as soon as possible. You should provide your full detail about how your Card is lost or stolen. 交番(kouban) is a small police station which you can find everywhere near stations. And then you will need to visit your nearest Immigration with all necessary documents. .Once my friend lost his wallet along with Zairyu card,he went to Immigration office after the report and then he was asked to write a reason explaining how his card was lost. You may be asked to write a short explanation. If you cannot write in Japanese, get help from Japanese friend or relatives. Any way it is not the end of the world, but having photocopies and taking action immediately are both excellent thing.

see here for further information.
And pls pls feel free to share your personnel experience in Japan in any topics.I`d love to hear from anyone.
